What should I expect when I arrive for my microneedling procedure?
When you arrive for your microneedling procedure, our Laser Center of Orlando skin care specialist first cleanses and numbs the treatment area. We then begin the microneedling process using a small handheld device that contains tiny needles. This device is gently rolled over the facial skin to create controlled micro-injuries.
After the procedure, your skin may look red or puffy, like a mild sunburn. This is a normal response and typically subsides within 24-48 hours. You might also notice increased sensitivity in the treated skin area, which is easily managed with an ice pack or gentle moisturizer.
How long does it take to see results from microneedling?
Our expert team recommends 3 to 6 treatments, about 4 weeks apart, for maximum results. However, many of our clients report seeing improvements in their skin after just one treatment. The full effects of microneedling can take several months to develop as the skin’s natural healing process continues fully. The treated area will gradually improve overall texture and appearance over this period.
