A New Direction in Skin Care
GentlePeel is a new treatment in the USA, having been used for many years in the most exclusive spas in Europe. Facial treatments usually take about 20 minutes. Neck and face take about 40 minutes; neck, face and upper chest about one hour.
The normal course of the GentlePeel program varies between 4-6 treatments at two-week intervals. After this initial course of treatment, we recommend that you schedule an additional treatment every 2-3 months to maintain the excellent condition of your skin.
This continued regimen of skin care is important. As you get older, it is more difficult for your skin to regenerate. Cell renewal is considerably slower.

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion has been available in Europe for more than 10 years, but has only been cleared by the FDA for use in the United States since 1996. Clients may resume normal activity immediately after a Microdermabrasion treatment. Sunscreen is a must after treatment as the newly exposed cells are more susceptible to sunburn. The cost is a fraction of the cost of laser or TCA peels. Remember the key is progressive treatment with no visible trauma to the skin.
Microdermabrasion has successfully treated fine lines and wrinkles, non-inflammatory acne scars, mild acne, blackheads, whiteheads, raised scars, hyper-pigmentation (dark spots), large pores and stretch marks. The procedure also increases firmness of the skin by increasing collagen production and reduction of acne causing oils. Microdermabrasion can be used on ethnic skin whereas some chemicals and lasers cannot.
A series of 1-6 treatments may eliminate smaller problems while deeper problems such as hyper-pigmentation and scars may take 15 to 36 treatments, but the key is progressive treatment with no downtime while improving your skin's overall beauty and health.
One treatment of the face and neck usually takes 30 minutes. Other areas may be treated as well — face, neck, chest, back, arms, hands, breasts and spot treatments for scars and stretch marks. Microdermabrasion should not be performed on areas of active herpes outbreak, inflammatory acne, undiagnosed lesions or persons with unstable diabetes. Your treatment will be delivered by a certified technician who is knowledgeable in all aspects of the treatment and the skin.
