Massage Therapy

Laser Center of Orlando has trained massage therapists available to help you relax and feel at your best. Massage has been used as a healing art for several thousands of years, records of it's use in ancient cultures around the world have shown that it is universally acknowledged as a means of treatment for various ailments. The Ancient Chinese documented its use; as did the ancient Hindus, Persians and Egyptians; Hippocrates, himself, wrote papers supporting the use of rubbing and friction for joint and circulatory problems. Today, massage is an accepted part of many physical rehabilitation programs, and massage therapy has also proven beneficial for many chronic conditions, (for example, lower back pain, arthritis, fatigue, depression, and more). Beyond this, massage also helps relieve the stress and tension of everyday living. 

Types of Massage Offered

SWEDISH MASSAGE - This traditional healing massage is comprised of long, soothing strokes using a light to medium pressure. Perfect to relieve tired muscles, increase circulation, relax the senses, and restore balance within the body.

DEEP TISSUE / SPORTS MASSAGE - A more invigorating treatment that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscle tissues. A slower, deeper pressure is used to help release resistant knots or areas of chronic tension. This massage is both therapeutic and cleansing for athletes and weekend warriors alike.

HOT STONE MASSAGE - Experience one of the most relaxing and luxurious spa treatments. Basalt Lava Stones are heated, oiled, and then used to massage the body. Stones are placed over energy centers of the body to induce relaxation and sense of well being.

EXPECTANT MOTHER ESCAPE - Prenatal massage tailored for expectant mothers. Smooth, gentle strokes increase circulation and relaxation. This is an excellent way to relieve lower back and leg tension, as well as to eliminate excess body fluid.

RELEXOLOGY - This massage is based on the belief that body organs correspond with reflex points located in the hands and feet. Using gentle thumb and finger pressure-point massage, the therapist is able to release blockages and re-establish the body's energy flow.

PLANTAR FASCIITIS - Specialized foot massage focused on breaking up adhesive tissue in the bottom plantar area of the foot. Helps alleviate foot pain by decreasing scar tissue build up from repetitive foot trauma. Good for runners, athletes, and for those clients that spend a lot of time on their feet.
